About

Alexis Maingaud is a composer, producer and conductor. From a family of musicians, he began playing the violin at six years old before dedicating himself to the piano and composition.

After studying musicology at the Sorbonne, sound techniques at ESRA Paris and orchestration with Guillaume Connesson, he developed a style of writing at the crossroads of symphonic music, minimalism, electronic music and sound experimentation.

He composes for film, television, documentaries and advertising, both in France and internationally. His work has led him to collaborate with Netflix, Prime Video, Disney, France Télévisions and M6, as well as with some of the biggest international advertising agencies, including McCann, Wieden+Kennedy, and other major players in the industry.

He notably composed the scores for the feature films "Psi" by Olivier Wright and "The Sonata" by Andrew Desmond, for which he conducted the Orchestre National d'Île-de-France. He also composed for numerous documentaries and more than a hundred French and international short films.

In the record industry, he collaborates with Warner Classics & Erato, Warner Chappell Music and Parlophone, on projects ranging from classical music to pop music.
In 2025, he produced a large part of Monroe's first album, representing France at Eurovision 2026, thus continuing his activity between composition, production and musical direction.
